Group Structure & Station Flow

  • Attendees will be divided into 6 groups of 4, rotating through ultrasound stations, each led by an experienced instructor and model.

  • All stations will focus on the same anatomical region at the same time (Upper Extremity, Torso, or Lower Extremity) to streamline teaching.

  • You’ll rotate through two stations in the morning and one focused station in the afternoon.

Morning Session (1.5 hours)

  • Each group will:

    • Spend 45 minutes at a station learning upper extremity blocks

    • Rotate to a second station for another 45-minute scanning session on torso blocks

Afternoon Session (45 minutes)

  • Each group will stay at one dedicated station, all focused on Lower Extremity blocks.

Needle Guidance Station

  • A 7th breakout station, features handheld ultrasound machines and meat models for needle guidance practice.

  • Our event coordinator will pull small subgroups (4 at a time) during scanning blocks to rotate through:

    • 10-minute sessions during the morning scanning block

    • 6–7 minute sessions during the afternoon scanning block

Open Practice Time

  • Around 2:30 PM, we’ll transition to free scanning time.

  • You’ll have access to:

    • One Upper Extremity station

    • One Torso station

    • One Lower Extremity station

    • The needle guidance/meat model station

This is a great opportunity to revisit techniques, ask final questions, and scan at your own pace.
